My First Experience In Selco

This is my first experience in Selco, I was left extremely impressed. I have always shop at B&Q and although Selco was more accessible, assumed it was for bulk purchases for bigger project.Visited the store in Charlton on April 24th, was a little apprehensive, short for time and was not familiar with its layout. I noticed there was a team member whom name is Syd, He was approachable, polite, professional, highly knowledgeable and well experience. After a brief discussion he was able to support me with all I had in mind and I was able to make purchase of it all, Syd even helped me to my car.I have never had that extraordinary experience in B&Q, since then, my friends and Family have now been shopping at Selco.Thank you Syd for making my journey and purchase an effortless operation.

Unreliable you may save 5% but pay a lot more for the delays they cause

Inexperienced driver took over two hours of begging to drive-thru a narrow lane (refuse collection lorries, which are larger fly through).Second order delayed by 3 days with no explanation. Ruse and patronising lady on the phone insisted that they can do whatever they like and lie about delivery times to get your business. Unfortunately they have a near monopoly.

The store is Elland Rd leeds

The store is Elland Rd leeds. Now the 5 stars is for the staff who endeavour to correct issues as soon as they can. There's been a quite a few issues especially with kitchens over the years. The only reason I still use them is because of the staff. Lee never stops running around sorting stuff out when it goes wrong. Then you have Taylor, tess,Lisa and the rest of the gang that always are welcoming and helpful. Selco needs to up its game in purchasing quality products especially on kitchens. But the staff are second to none. A good working relationship with suppliers is the most important thing to me. Problems happen. But its knowing that they'll eventually get sorted thats important. Once had a meeting with a guy from head office over a kitchen that was such bad quality that I didn't charge the customer for it in the end. This clown from head office tried to tell me its poor quality is because its made in Italy ??. Yes because we all know Italian's are known for poor products! What a moron he was. I paid for the carcasses but it will be a cold day in hell before I pay for those god awful doors. It's cost me over 3.5k in losses on the job. Head office need to learn to value loyal customers like the staff do. Thats how you remain in business. Not by trying to fob off real issues.

Algebra might be sometimes really hard

Algebra might be sometimes really hard, but if the staff member in Selco Ardwick is trying to convince me that 2 3/4" is the same as 3", I'm losing my temper and going to shop somewhere else.

Chelmsford branch

Chelmsford branch, I'm generally happy with selco but, during this dreadful pandemic we are asked to wear a mask whilst in stores and shops. Selco is no exception to these rules and even have a security man at the door to make sure you have a mask on. But it's really taking the Michael when you're asked to put a mask on by a security guard who doesn't wear a mask standing inside the shop. The management really should have a rethink. Won't be using Chelmsford branch until he has gone.

3 Tonnes of Gravel and some Hollow Blocks

Have recently had 2 deliveries of building materials to my home and both delivery drivers were very helpful. I have a large front hedge and they were able to use the crane to lift my pallets and gravel over the hedge and place them right where I needed them. Very polite and super professional. Not to mention cheaper than B&Q or Wickes. Would highly recommend

Absolutely useless company

Absolutely useless company. I asked them several times what size flashing kit it was to go with the correct size roof window. I gave them the correct sizes and all information. Because they didn’t know the answer they ignored my emails. Please go to screwfix as you have people with an actual brain that work there and give you a great answer to a simple question.

Aggressive Staff at Selco Nottingham

The worst customer service call handling experience at Selco store Nottingham. Dealt by rude, unprofessional sales team member, when attempting to enquire about product over the phone, was being misinformed about item delivery by the sales team member, when I requested to speak to someone like his manger, he shouted at me, when I challenged his attitude and conduct he then slammed the phone down on me. I was in denied my right to raise a complaint against the sale team member who basically did not put me through to his manager.By the time I called back...no surprise....store closed, security officer confirmed he was the only one in the building.Overall experience:Customer service very poorquality of service very poor Telephone manner - self explanatory as stated aboveStaff here are becoming to complacent, you need new staff who care about their customers and value them.
